The Amazing Kat Race is a race through the streets of Melbourne. Starting at a secret location on the 14th March 2010 at 14:00 you will use the clues to race to 4 more stops before finishing at the final location and finding the "Missing Kat" party.
Each location (Melbourne's hottest bars) where a vessel of "something" (alcoholic or not) is had, a photo taken and a
riddle solved. You will race to the next location in an attempt to out-wit, out-smart and out-pace your competition.
At the final destination you will find the mysterious Missing Kat in person, who will be awaiting your arrival with 7 live bands, a charity auction and a BBQ after-party.
The "Kat" is short for Missing Kat, a grassroots organisation that bridges the gap between big causes and everyday people by putting together good times and donating all proceeds to charity. 100% of money raised in The Amazing Kat Race goes to the RSPCA.
If they don't sell out, you can. Email us your mobile number and we'll SMS you After-party location early on race day. You can pay $20 to us on the door.

For my grandfather Jim, recently departed
Missing Kat is a grass-roots organisation based in Melbourne Australia, that bridges the gap between big causes and everyday people by putting together good times and donating all proceeds to charity. RSPCA Australia is the chosen cause. Missing Kat is fully voluntary and we pay our own way. All event aspects are either donated or paid for by us. So every cent you pay to play, goes straight through to where it is needed. Welcome to our world. A world that counts.
As the RSPCA says, a good life is for all creatures, great and small. For a long time their team have given furry cousins in need a second chance and have built a reputation for being a paw's best friend. We salute everyone who pitches in to provide safe havens, treatment and homes for animals in distress, in particular the Australian RSPCA. Just look into a pets' eyes and you know they deserve the best we can offer.
It all began in 2005, born of a desire to have fun and make a difference. Initially as an off the wall house warming (big ups to Little Jimmy and Kryspy Kuts, you kids started it all), the movement has since built momentum. A wide range of events have since happened and who knows, more may follow in their wake..
Missing Kat pays its own way. If it isn't donated, we buy it so all your donation goes to the cause. A big thank you goes out to all the venues, artists, sponsors and Support Krews - you make it all possible. Lastly, good on ya to all you krazy Kats who have joined us in making a difference and having a good time along the way.
Do you want to pitch in? Are you unable to race but want to be involved? Missing Kat is totally voluntary so all help is welcomed with open arms.
As the RSPCA says, a good life is for all creatures, great and small. For a long time their team have given furry cousins in need a second chance and have built a reputation for being a paw's best friend. We like the work they do, so we support them wherever we can. 100% of your entry fee and all funds raised during the Charity Art Auction go straight to RSPCA Victoria.
The RSPCA is a non-government community based animal welfare charity. The organisation was created by the community and driven by strong local support. Without public backing the RSPCA would cease to function and without the services of the RSPCA the future for thousands of animals would look very bleak indeed.
That all animals, great and small, are:
The Missing Kat team get goosebumps just reading about all the good work they do. We salute them and reckon that's enough reason to do all we can to help them make a difference to the lives of our furry cousins.

The Missing Kat team are eternally grateful to 538 Protective Services for pitching in and supplying the Security at our secret race after-party. They are keeping you safe, because they believe in what we are doing here.
538 Protective Services live by an excellent code of ethics, almost unheard of even in the upper echelons of the Security business. They protect people who matter most so when running events, we strongly suggest having a chat to them first.
